ORGANISERS of the annual African Quality Achievement Awards (AQAA), have announced plans to birth a Pan-African Magazine, tagged ‘The Quality Standards Journal’, at this year’s edition of the Award, slated for May.
The Secretary and AQAA General Committee Chairman, Mrs. Ifeoma Favour Emeka, in a statement, explained that the news platform, is aimed at making information on quality and standards, available to individuals and corporate entities, to enhance their operations.
“The magazine, which will be published by the World Quality Alliance, with support from African Quality Institute, will serve as the central source of information, regarding Standards and Quality Management in the continent,” she added.
Besides the magazine launch, Ifeoma added that this year’s edition of the event will also be used by stakeholders to bring to the fore the importance of imbibing the culture of quality and standards management.
Ifeoma added that the edition will also be used to celebrate leadership in quality management in Africa, identify, recognise and reward companies and products that apply Quality Culture and Quality Management best practice in achieving their corporate objectives
She added that as a way of effectively driving the quality agenda, the Africa Quality Congress (AQC), a forum dedicated to enhancing informative and inspiring new ideas and stimulate debates, has been created as part of the annual event.
