Pat and Pearl are good friends and are cherished by everyone who sees them. They are very close to the extent that their parents buy things for them in common but they are of different characters. Their friendship made their parents also to become family friends. Pat is the outspoken and dominating one among them while Pearl is the quiet type, who for the sake of peace, tolerates Pat’s “too much” attitude. Their differences sometimes make them disagree on matters and gradually, they started to fight and hold grudges. At the long run, Pearl could not cope with Pat’s attitude of forcing her to do things against her wish. So she decided to end their friendship because that was the only thing that could make her happy. Their parents tried to bring them together again but it did not work out.
Dear children, friendship is not about dominating the other person always but requires you to give something too. From the scenario which I painted for you above, if you have an attitude that dominates always, please, stop it because it is not good. It would drive away people from you. Learn to respect and, appreciate other’s wishes in friendship.
