The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has disclosed that it has arrested Mr. Musa Salihu Ahmed, an alleged frontier, involved in selling 632 government’s occupancy permits for residential plots worth N2.3 billion in Kano.
Disclosing this to the press, the chairman of the Commission, Mr Muhuyi Magaji, stated that the suspect was picked up at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport shortly after he arrived from Saudi Arabia.
According to him, the suspect, a Chief Executive of Lamash Properties, allegedly sold the plots at about N2.5 million to individuals in Challawa, Kumbotso local government area of the state.
The suspect also sold residential plots at Dawanau in Dawakin Tofa local government area.
He further disclosed that “We are currently investigating the suspect, how he was allocated 632 residential plots by the past administration and how it was allegedly sold to different individuals in the state.”
Magaji however hinted that as soon as investigation is completed, the suspect would be arraigned before a court of law.
However, all effort made to get the reaction of the suspect was not successful,but a source very close to him but preferred anonymity said it was just an allegation and the actual truth of it will be proved at law court.
