Kano State Commissioner for Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru has disputed the widely circulated rumour that schools in Kano will not resume on Monday, January 18, respectively.
Clearing the air, the commissioner reaffirmed the earlier directive issued by the ministry that all boarding schools students in the state should resume on Sunday, January 17, 2021 while day students are to resume on Monday.
This was contained in a statement signed by Public Relation Officer (PRO), Ministry of Education Kano State,Comrade Aliyu Yusuf, a copy made available on Sunday to pressmen.
The commissioner, therefore, urged parents, guardians and the general public to disregard the rumour. He said that Kano State government has no plan to extend the resumption dates.
Malam Sa’id Kiru then called on parents to comply with the directives so that their wards would resume in time for the commencement of the academic calendar which has been released by the ministry.
