A reknowned real estate expert, Rotimi George Taylor, has received the Nelson Mandela leadership award of Excellence from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), becoming a West African Youth Ambassador.
This honour is coupled with an honourary doctorate degree in philosophy in business administration from Prowess University in Delaware, USA.
The event was held on Saturday at the Balogun Subomi Hall, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
The African Representative of the institution, Professor Eze Nwauba, while conferring the doctorate honours on him, noted that “the award was presented to him for his exceptional dedication to the advocation of youth empowerment and his unparalleled leadership in social change.
“With this prestigious award and his new ambassadorial role, George-Taylor will now be addressed as Ambassador Rotimi George-Taylor. This new title reflects not only his achievements but also his responsibilities and aspirations in shaping a brighter future for the youth.
“The Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity is accorded to individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership and uphold principles of integrity and excellence
“Dr. George-Taylor’s tireless efforts and visionary leadership have not only shaped the future of youth in West Africa but have also set a benchmark in humanitarian excellence”, he concluded
In response to this honour, George-Taylor expressed his heartfelt gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the welfare and development of young people in West Africa.
He stated, “This recognition is both an honour and a compelling call to intensify our efforts for the empowerment of West African youth.”
