I am in my late forties. While still a student during my A Levels and University days, I had a couple of skull x rays. Some years ago, I started forgetting facts. Now, I can hardly remember anything unlike in the past when I could reproduce the whole of a Biology or Chemistry textbook. I have bought the prescribed drugs but the effect is minimal. Kindly advise me on how to improve my failing memory.

Challenges with the memory has been linked to certain categories of people such as those who are depressed, physically inactive, uneducated and those with uncontrolled high blood pressure. Also included in the list is stress which overtaxes the brain with anxiety and emotion making it difficult to cope with memory. A visit to your doctor for a general medical check- up will go a long way to help your situation
