The liver is the largest internal organ and performs various functions, including metabolizing nutrients, filtering toxins from the blood, producing bile for digestion, and storing vitamins and minerals.Maintaining a liver-friendly diet is crucial for promoting optimal liver health and preventing liver diseases. By making mindful food choices, you can reduce the risk of liver damage and support its proper functioning. A liver-friendly diet focuses on consuming nutrient-rich foods while minimising the intake of foods that burden the liver. These include, leafy greens such as spinach, fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, and sardines, Nuts and seeds like walnuts, and fiber that promote liver health. In addition, Olive oil, especially extra virgin olive oil and green tea is known for its high antioxidant content, which helps protect the liver from damage and supports its overall health.
