A group based in the United States, Global Coalition for Security and Democracy in Nigeria (GCSDN), has written a petition to the United States government, warning it of the the consequences of granting visas to members of unpopular herders sect, Miyetti Allah.
This was contained in a letter addressed to the office of the United States Secretary of State, signed by the group’s national coordinator, Frederick Odorige.
The letter pointed out that Miyetti Allah has become the fourth most dangerous terrorist organisation in the world, responsible for the displacement of “at least 3.2 million Nigerians.”
In an apparent reaction to members of Miyetti Allah applying for US visa in order to gain exposure to advanced knowledge of animal husbandry and ranching in California, Odorige suggested that not only should executives and members of Miyetti Allah who have alleged of terrorism be denied visa, they should be placed on the watch list.
