Abductors of two Chinese men at Okepa/Itikan village around a gold mining site in the Ifewara area of Osun State have demanded N10million each from the abductees.
The Osun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, revealed this while speaking on the Rave F.M broadcasting station in Osogbo, on Wednesday.
She, however, expressed optimism that, the evil perpetrators would soon be fished out by the police.
It will be recalled that the evil perpetrators whisked their victims away to an unknown place while supervising workers working for them at the mining site.
According to her, the names of the Chinese men attacked and abducted by a gang of criminals as Messrs Zhao Jian ‘m’ aged 33yrs, and Wen ‘m’ aged 50yrs and that, they were abducted on the 5th of April.
The commissioner, in a statement by the command spokesperson, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, explained that two of the private guards were also shot at and have been taken to the general hospital for treatment.
The police spokesperson, however, enjoined members of the public “to support, co-operate, and collaborate with the Police in fighting crime to bring it down to the barest minimum, by providing us with creditable and prompt information as she promised to rescue the abductees unhurt.”
