14 dead in Osun auto crash

No fewer than 14 persons lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident that occurred in Ipetu Ijesa of  Oriade local Government area of Osun State on Saturday evening.

The Public Relations Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Osun State Command, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi who made this known in a statement in Osogbo, hinted that, “the accident which was caused by wrongful overtaking involved a golden coloured Sienna Bus with registration number KRD 842 GY and an Ash coloured Howo Sinnotruck with registration number BAU 171 ZE.”

She explained that, “the remains of victims of the accident which included 2 females and 4 males children, 4 males and 4 females adult had been deposited at the Wesley Guild Hospital Morgue in Ilesa.”

Mrs Ogungbemi however charged road users to always try to shun over speeding while  especially during the rainy season.
