Tension has gripped many parts of Ibeju Lekki in Lagos State following the recovery of the body of a 40 years old man, Wale Kalejaiye, who was last week abducted from policemen in the Akodo area of Lekki.
The deceased Kalejaiye was last Monday abducted by hoodlums, when he led policemen to Akodo to effect some arrests in the town.
Policemen from the IGP Monitoring Unit and Police Mobile Force (PMF) were in front of the house of the village head in Akodo, when they were reportedly attacked by hoodlums,numbering over 150.
Kalejaiye was abducted and taken away by the hoodlums before his body was recovered at a beach in Magbon Segun
village in the IIbeju Lekki area of the state .
The family of the deceased Kalejaiye had some days after his disappearance raised the alarm, prompting the police to raise a search and recovery team for him .
His body was however recovered at the beach, where it was dumped by the hoodlums, who attacked the policemen and abducted him.

Jalailu Alimi, a relative of the deceased Kalejaiye confirmed the recovery of the body to Tribune Online and urged the police to ensure justice over the death of his brother .
Alimi said: “It is a very sad thing that these people had to kill my brother for nothing .This is the most wicked thing I have seen in my life.
“These people (hoodlums) have become terrorists and they attack policemen and other law enforcement agents at will.”
He continued that “We got a call from the police at Akodo division early Saturday morning that they had recovered the corpse.
“The people killed him and dumped the body in the ocean at Magbon Segun Beach in Ibeju Lekki I can’t imagine what my brother went through in their hands.”
Meanwhile,the operatives of the IGP Monitoring Unit have arrested four persons in connection with the incident.
The image in charge of the state command, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident but declined further comments and directed our correspondent to the force public relations officer, Frank Mba.
Efforts to speak with Mba however failed as calls to his mobile phone line were not a answered as at the time of filing this report.
