One person has been reported killed in a multiple road traffic clash involving eight people in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
The auto accident, which occurred on Monday evening at Coca-cola junction along Asa dam road at about 06:20 am, involved three vehicles.
According to information gathered from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the vehicles involved in the accident include a black and yellow colour commercial crane, a King model vehicle and a yellow colour commerical tricycle of the Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN) fleet operation.
The FRSC record, which stated that the cause of the traffic clash was speed violation and loss of control, added that seven males and one female were involved in the auto crash.
It was also gathered that the six people involved in the crash sustained varying degrees of injuries of dead wounds and bruises.
The road crash, which reportedly caused obstruction along the scene of the accident, was cleared by the officers and men of the FRSC.
The corpse of the victim of the crash was later taken to the morgue of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), Ilorin, while those that sustained injuries were also taken to same hospital for adequate treatment.
