There was higher compliance on the second day of the two-day warning strike of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) at the Oyo State Secretariat, Ibadan, with several offices shut while there were few workers at offices in that opened.
Compared to Tuesday, there was a lull in activities on Wednesday, with the state Secretariat not witnessing its usual liveliness.
The exit gate of the state Secretariat was shut while the main entrance gates were half open with men of the Nigeria police and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) at the entrance.
Not only was there a lull and less activity in and around offices but a number of vendors did not open shop, while those who opened only did some quick business.
However, activities were robust in some Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, and the House of Assembly, where plenary was even held.
