Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun

The governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has been declared the winner of the Ogun Central Senatorial District election held on Saturday.
Tribune Online recalls that Amosun occupied same position in the Upper Chamber from 2003 to 2007 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He won the National Assembly election in all the six local governments that constitute the senatorial district.
Amosun who scored 88,110 votes defeated the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mrs. Titi Oseni-Gomez, who polled 37,101 votes.
The result was declared by Professor Idris Akanbi at the Centenary Hall, Ake, Abeokuta.
