NANS backs Kolawole as Lagos REDAN chairman

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), South-West Zone, has drummed up support for Mr Tony Kolawole, to emerge as the Chairman of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Lagos State chapter.

NANS is the apex body that oversees the affairs of all Nigerian students, serving as a platform for raising their concerns, promoting the welfare of students.

According to a statement signed by the Coordinator, NANS, South-West Zone, Comrade John Alao, a copy of which was made available to journalists on Friday, the student body noted that it is its duty to ensure competent individuals are elected into positions of leadership.

The statement reads in parts: “After careful consideration, we wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Kolawole Tony popularly known as ASPIRE.
“It is also our responsibility to identify leaders who possess the necessary qualities, skills, and experience to drive positive change within the student community.

“We have closely observed Dr Kolawole Tony’s contributions and commitment to the development of Nigerian students and we firmly believe that he is the right candidate to lead as Chairman, REDAN Lagos Chapter.

“Dr Tony Kolawole has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, integrity, and a deep understanding of the challenges being faced by Nigerian students.

“His passion for education reform, student welfare, and advocacy for improved academic standards has been evident throughout his tenure as a student leader.

“He has consistently championed courses that directly impact the lives of Nigerian students and has actively engaged with relevant stakeholders to bring about positive change.

“His experience as the CEO of Billionaire Realtors Group (BRG), and within the constituency of REDAN (Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria) have equipped him with valuable knowledge and expertise in dealing with crucial issues such as accommodation, infrastructure, and development within REDAN.”

The student body further noted that: “We firmly believe that Dr. Tony Kolawole’s leadership qualities, coupled with his track record of advocacy, make him the ideal candidate to spearhead the transformation team.

“We are confident in his ability to implement progressive policies that will address the pressing concerns of Nigerian students, including access to quality education, improved infrastructure, affordable accommodation, and enhanced student welfare.

“In conclusion, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Southwest Zone endorses and validates the candidacy of Dr. Kolawole Tony ASPIRE as Chairman REDAN Lagos Chapter and All Transformation Team. “We urge all Developers, Realtors and Nigerian students to support his candidacy and actively participate in the electoral process to ensure the emergence of a capable and effective leadership team that will prioritise the welfare and development of REDAN.”
