I am a 65-year-old man. I have been having muscle cramps in my legs for the past few weeks. Kindly let me know what to do about it.

Leg cramps cause intense, painful tightening of the calf or quadriceps muscles. They may occur as a side effect of physical activity or affect people during the night in the form of conditions like restless leg syndrome.
Leg cramps are, at minimum, irritating, and at worst debilitating, and can be brought on by a variety of activities and issues. To treat a leg cramp, gently stretch and massage the muscle, apply heat or cold, and then stay hydrated and replenish electrolytes; for prevention, focus on regular stretching, staying hydrated, and a balanced diet, seeing a doctor if cramps are severe or persistent.
