Hon. Maryam Yusuf Aladi, the representative for Ilorin South constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, distributed empowerment materials to approximately 500 artisans and provided 500 widows with cash and foodstuffs.

The items given to the artisans included hairdryers, grinding machines, freezers, sewing machines, welding machines, generating sets, and catering equipment. The widows also received essential support in the form of cash and food items.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Aladi expressed her deep gratitude for the trust and support of her constituents.

She highlighted the progress made in the constituency through various initiatives, including infrastructure development, healthcare, educational advancement, and community engagement.

“This event is a testament to our collective achievements,” she said.

Aladi credited her empowerment program to the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, whose example inspired her commitment to the welfare of her people.

In his address, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, the state APC chairman, commended Hon. Aladi for prioritizing the welfare of her constituents.

He encouraged her to continue addressing the needs of the people, following the example set by the state governor.

Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, the senior special assistant on Community Engagement, also spoke, emphasizing the positive impact when political leaders prioritize the well-being of their communities.

Ojo Olayiwola, the deputy speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, was tagged “Hon. Maryam Yusuf Aladi Widows Support and Artisan Support Programme.”
