Former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Thursday commissioned Amana Sanatorium, a private drug rehabilitation clinic in Kano to commemorate his 65th birthday anniversary celebration.
The multi-purpose centre located at Jido village in the outskirts of Kano Municipality along Kano -Wudil Federal Highway has a depression management section and a reformatory centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Kwankwaso disclosed that for long he had thought of something that would be beneficial to humanity.
According to him, people with drug-related problems would be treated at the centre to enable them to bounce back to normal life.
Amana Sanatorium offers outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation with various levels of intensity based on the period of therapy.
The centre is also equipped with outdoor sports facilities to help grow the mental health of inmates while it also offers them the opportunity to learn skilled jobs in modern workshops at the centre.
