I am a very healthy 45 year old man. Although I normally have a good night sleep, I rarely dream like my other friends usually do. Kindly let me know what could be the problem with me and how to solve it.

Sleep involves five distinct phases. The first four phases involve a transition from shallow to deep sleep, while the fifth phase, REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, involves heightened brain activity and vivid dreams. Experts also believe that while REM sleep may have its own function, most of the restorative and very important benefits of the body occur in the other phases. The best way experts recommend for getting more REM sleep is to simply get more sleep overall. Some aspects of modern life such as alcohol, drugs, nicotine, the use of artificial light at night and dependency on alarm clocks interferes with REM sleep. For better sleep overall, it helps to sleep in a cool, dark room and go to bed at the same time every night. Practicing other aspects of good sleep hygiene like avoiding electronics and late night alcohol may also help improve your sleep and maybe even your dreams.
