Kindly let me know what causes hernia in men and what are the remedies
Goke (by SMS)
Hernias in men are caused by a combination of muscle weakness and excessive pressure on the abdominal wall, with common causes including heavy lifting, chronic coughing, and constipation. Other risk factors include aging, obesity, a family history of hernias, and certain congenital defects, particularly in the inguinal canal.
This can result from aging, injury, or a congenital defect. Activities that strain the abdominal muscles can push tissue through a weak spot.
Jobs or activities that require heavy lifting are major causes. Persistent coughing from conditions like COPD or smoking puts significant strain on the abdomen. Straining during bowel movements can lead to a hernia.
An enlarged prostate can increase the force required to urinate, raising the risk. Being overweight or obese puts extra pressure on the abdomen. A genetic predisposition can make you more susceptible to developing a hernia. Inguinal hernias can develop from an incomplete closure of the inguinal canal after birth, a common factor in infant males.
