Gunmen on Friday night allegedly shot dead a night security guard on a mining site located at Aba-Aagun village, via Itagun in Osu of Atakumosa East Local Government Area of Osun State, Sunday Tribune gathered.
Security source told Sunday Tribune that the victim, a 35-year-old from Delta State, was Emmanuel Moses.
Moses, who worked with Oodua Mining Site in Osu, was shot in the chest by the gunmen around 8.30 p.m. on Friday night.

According to the source, “an empty cartridge was recovered at the scene of the incident, while the victim was confirmed dead by doctors at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife.”
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Osun State Police command, Mrs Folasade Odoro, confirmed the incident.
“The corpse of the victim had been deposited at the morgue of OAUTHC for autopsy while investigation to apprehend the perpetrators has commenced immediately,” she said.
