The Military High Command on Friday threatened to use minimum necessary force to back all the nation’s security forces to ensure strict enforcement of the lockdown down orders by the Federal and State governments to curtail the further spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic following the attempts by hoodlums to hijack the lockdown orders to terrorise the members of the public.
The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, DMO, Major-General John Enenche disclosed this in Abuja while updating news on the Military Operations and the preparedness of the Military in the current fight against the deadly COVID-19 scourge in the country.

According to him: “I must state clearly that the Armed Forces of Nigeria is to provide the minimum necessary force to support the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies, to checkmate the nefarious activities of criminals wanting to take advantage of patriotic and loyal citizens, who are observing the lockdown directive.
“Consequently, all criminally minded individuals are hereby warned to desist from disturbing the peace of other citizens of the country, otherwise, they will be tackled appropriately in line with the principles of Internal Security Operations and Rules of Engagement”.
