BREAKING: Osinbajo presides over expanded NEC

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is presiding over an expanded meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) at the presidential villa, Abuja.

The first meeting for the year is being attended by many state governors, top administrators and representatives of agencies invited to make presentations.

The meeting is taking place at the State House conference centre rather than the usual Aso chamber.

Also in attendance for the first time, is the newly sworn-in Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma.

A communique is expected at the end of the session later today.
