Life has not remained the same for Big Brother Africa winner, Uti Nwachukwu, eight years after walking home with his prize money, conquering Africa and casting his name in gold as one of the continent’s new bride at that time.
From being an actor, to being an event host on Africa Magic’s Jara and many other entertainment-related jobs, Uti’s life has witnessed a major turnaround. He has also become the star that many young people now pattern their lives after.
The BBA has since produced other winners in the last eight years with some of them still trying to find their feet in the entertainment space.
In fact, apart from Uti, who, was the first Nigerian to win the coveted prize, two other Nigerians who have won the money in the last four years, appeared to be struggling to live up to the expectations that greeted their winning.

For Uti, it was an experience that gave him the second chance to redeem himself, family, supporters and country. It was indeed a life-changing moment, one whose feeling could not be compared to any other thing.
Speaking on how the plaform has helped him to rediscover himself, Uti revealed that God used the platform to create a successful career path for him. Looking back after eight years, the entertainment personality said his brand keeps getting bigger and stronger.
“Yes, I am filled with gratitude today. I got a second chance to redeem myself, family, supporters and country. There is no greater feeling than being grateful to God and the people that have given me their support and love over the years. They have supported the brand and made it stronger,”he said
Uti also thanked DSTV, MNET and AFRICA MAGIC for providing the platform that showcased him to the world.
