OYSCOHEST council chair, Ogundiwin, rallies support for Okeho campus, calls for more enrolment

Chairman, Governing Council  of the Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology (OYSCOHEST), Eleyele, Ibadan Dr, Aaron Ola Ogundiwin, has called on the people of Oke-Ogun areas of Oyo State to support its effort at ensuring the progress and development of its Okeho satellite campus.

The chairman made the plea when he led other council members and principal officers of the college on an assessment visit to the permanent site of the satellite campus situated in Okeho town of the Kajola Local Government Area, Oyo State.

Dr Ogundiwin appealed to parents in the town to send their children to the college, while calling on the chairmen of the 10 local government areas in Oke-Ogun zone to sponsor the enrolment of their indigenes in the college.

He charged the people to always see the Okeho campus of OYSCOHEST as their baby that must be supported, nurtured and assisted to ensure its steady progress.

The council chairman also commended members of the ‘Apero Omo Okeho’ and ‘Omo Ibile Okeho for their support towards the new development.

He noted with delight the infrastructure put  in place at the permanent site, saying that the government’s effort must always be supported and complemented by the people in the overall interest of the socioeconomic and political progress of the area.

In their respective responses, the chairmen of ‘Apero Omo Okeho,’ Pastor Favour Adewoye Adewole and that of ‘Omo Ibile Okeho,’ Alhaji Raji Salauden, stated that efforts had been intensified to mobilise their people to send their children to the OYSCOHEST’s Okeho satellite campus.

They both thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for giving priority attention to the development of tertiary education in the state .

In her brief remarks after the visit to the permanent site of the satellite campus, the provost of the college, Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo, applauded the effort of the council chairman for initiating the working tour as well as other members for their cooperation in revamping the Okeho campus.
