FOLLOWING the incessant road accident on Oyo-Ogbomoso road in Oyo State, the lawmakers representing Ogbomoso land in the National Assembly alongside two ministers are set to storm the project site with a view to fast-tracking its completion without further delay.
The ministers are Mr Raji Fashola, Works and Housing and Mr Sunday Dare, Youth and Sports.
Announcing this in Abuja during a civic reception in his honour and other eminent Ogbomoso indigenes including the parliamentarians by Egbe Ogbomoso Ajisegiri, the Minister of Sports, Mr Dare, lamented that the number of death on that stretch of road was alarming, hence, the need to ensure its immediate completion.
He said apart from funding, there were other problems that are localised which they have discovered and efforts are on to meet with the traditional rulers and chiefs in the zone so as to find an immediate solution to it.
According to him: “We have concluded plans to visit Oyo-Ogbomoso road with the Minister of Works and Housing. Even though it might be symbolic, it is also important. We held a meeting with him to see how we can complete that road as quickly as possible.

“There is a need to stop that haemorrhage, and we are doing everything possible to complete it.” He promised.
While thanking President Muhammadu Buhari on his appointment and bringing Ogbomoso to the centre stage to do what its people know best, the minister assured that the people of the area would continue to play their roles in the national development.
The minister also commended the organisers for the honour done him and promised to be a good ambassador of the land wherever he found himself.
Earlier, the Chairman, Ogbomoso Ajisegiri Abuja, Engineer Layi Akangbe said the aims of the association is to promote the development and wellbeing of members and further the spirit of togetherness and brotherhood among members within and outside the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
He said it is non-religious and non-political but shall promote historic research into culture and tradition of their fatherland with a view to enhancing national unity and harmony.
Other awardees were Senator Abdulfatal Buhari, Honourable Segun Odebunmi, Barrister Olusegun Adekunle, Honourable Jacob Ajao Adejumo, as well as Professor Josiah Olusegun Ajiboye and Dr Samson Adegoke among others.
