I have been having toilet disease for the last three years. Any time I take injections for it, it will disappear for about a month only to come back again. Kindly help me.

Although some women are very fond of talking about ‘Toilet Disease’ the truth is that, ‘Toilet Disease’ does not exist in the sense it is used because the possibility of contracting a disease from a toilet seat is theoretically possible but extremely unlikely. Most of the viruses or bacteria on toilet seats that cause infection to die very quickly outside the body so it is very unlikely that they can be transmitted through a dirty toilet seat. Apart from poor personal hygiene, a very likely source of infection for sexually active women is from sex and not the toilet. Therefore, it will be a good idea for you to have a proper laboratory investigation which should include a swab of any vaginal discharge for proper analysis and treatment. Your sexual contacts if any will also need to be similarly treated to avoid any form of recurrence.
