PANCAKE: flour, condensed milk, sugar, egg, a little baking powder , oil to fry
Procedure: Break your eggs in a bowl, beat well, mix the milk and sugar together then add to the egg, mix well, then fold in your flour, a little oil in the pan to fry .
Things you can eat with the pancake, butter, melted jam, pancake syrup.
Yam balls
Ingredients: Yam, onions, pepper (rodo, tatase), salt, maggi, egg(optional) , a little flour if necessary, milk, seasonings
Procedure: Cut yam into small pieces and boil till its soft Place little oil on fire and fry the onions and pepper, then add in all the seasonings and salt (little) and maggi (little) . After yam has cooled down allow, mash it till its smooth(add a little milk, or if u want the Ghanaian style add raw egg, then add the onions and pepper, mixture mustn’t be watery, if watery add a little flour. Then roll yam into balls and fry till its light brown.
Puff-puff: flour, nutmeg, sugar, salt (pinch) , oil, lukewarm water for mixing Procedure: add all the dry ingredients together, add the yeast too if its powdered, if it’s not add lukewarm water and set aside. After adding all the dry
ingredients, add lukewarm water to mix and mix with hand till mixture is smooth, the mixture must be thick not too
thick and not watery, leave for 45 minutes in an airtight container so it can rise.
Then scoop little by little, place into the oil allowing batter come out between the index finger and thumb Coconut chips.
Ingredient: coconut , if you want to add milk or sugar, but just coconut Break coconut: the water inside is very useful for the frying, so don’t pour away Shred the coconut , put the water into your frying pan , then add shredded coconut, keep stirring so it doesn’t burn.
