The Commander, 4 Special Forces Command of the Nigerian Army Doma in Nasarawa State, Major General Hilary Nzan, has urged troops of the command to be courageous, dedicated, resilient, and confident in tackling insecurity in the North Central part of Nigeria.
General Nzan made the call on Tuesday in Lafia while briefing journalists on his return from an operational visit of troops of 167 Special Forces Battalion, Muhammadu Buhari cantonment, Giri Abuja.
He said the visit was in continuation of the familiarisation tour of the command’s formations and units under the 4 Special Forces.
General Nzan tasked the troops to see themselves as one irrespective of their tribe, region, or religion, saying that the Nigerian Army has “bound us together.”
The Commander equally advised the troops to desist from taking hard substances and not to involve themselves in any form of criminality.
General Nzan said during the visit, he was received and briefed on the activities of the Battalion by the Acting Commanding Officer 167 Special Forces Battalion, Major Temipre Ezonfade.
He added that during the briefing, Major Ezonfade highlighted some of the achievements the Battalion had recorded.
According to him, the high points of the visit was a briefing by the Commanding officer, a tour of the Cantonment, a display by the troops of the Battalion, addressing of troops, signing of the visitors’ book, presentation of survenir, and a group photograph.
