A member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu, has facilitated the installation of mobile network equipment in several security-troubled communities in Zamfara State.
Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu assured that the security of people’s lives and their properties was his top priority as the representative of his constituency in the state.
Speaking on Saturday at Bungudu town, a local government area in Zamfara state, during the formal distribution of 50 brand new vehicles, 500 motorcycles, 120 tailors, 120 generators, Point of Service (POS) machines, and cash to the people of his constituency, Hon. Abdulmalik reiterated his commitment to improving the lives of his constituents.
He emphasised that one of the primary responsibilities of every leader in society is to provide security for the lives and properties of their people.
According to him, due to the insecurity plaguing the state and his constituency in particular, a technical team from the Nigerian Telecommunication Commission (NCC) assessed communities in Bungudu and Maru local government areas to provide them with accessible networking.
“The assessment exercise was the outcome of the recent engagement between the member representing the areas, Hon. Abdulmalik, and NCC headquarters in Abuja.
The Federal House of Representatives had earlier approached the NCC with a request to provide mobile network service in some communities in his constituency in the state.
“So far, the team has assessed mobile network service sites in Bingi, Maru, Bingin Bungudu, Dangulbi, Dankurmi, Binding, and Kuyan Bana communities.”
He maintained that within his first one hundred days as a member of the Federal House of Representatives, he provided assistance to the families of the victims of banditry and visited many communities that were attacked by armed bandits in his constituency to sympathise with them.
During the occasion, Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu presented dividends of democracy to constituents, with beneficiaries including youths, women, party supporters, and less privileged people in the state.
Those who graced the occasion included Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, Minister of State for Defence Bello Mohammed Mattawale, presented by Senator Tijjani Yahaya Kaura, and Mukhtar Idris Koguna, respectively.
Others in attendance were APC party stalwarts both at the state and national levels.
