A Sharia Court sitting in Magajin Gari, Kaduna State, has terminated the union between Bilkisu Bawale and Bello Musa on grounds of lack of love.
Delivering Judgement, the judge, Nuhu Falalu also ordered Bilkisu to return the N20, 000 bride price she received from Bello.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), earlier, Bilkisu, through her counsel, M.B. Alhassan, said his client seeks divorce from her husband because she no longer have affection or love for him.
“Bello did not do anything wrong to me. In fact, he has fulfilled all his responsibilities as a husband. I lack nothing but the love and affection are no longer there,” she said.
“I do not want to continue with the marriage because I will not obey him and the wrath of God may fall on me for disobeying his instructions”, she said.
The defendant, Bello, through his counsel, Usman Nda-Liman, obliged the petitioner her request.
