I have genital herpes

I was recently diagnosed with genital herpes and was given some medications. I want to know if there is a permanent cure.

There is currently no permanent cure for genital herpes. However, there are antiviral medications that can help manage and suppress outbreaks, reduce the frequency of recurrences, and lower the risk of transmitting the virus to others.  In addition to medical treatment, emotional support is essential. Genital herpes can have a significant impact on mental well-being, and seeking counseling or joining support groups can provide a safe space to discuss concerns, share experiences, and gain coping strategies.
