A top member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Ken Imasuagbon has expressed his readiness to personally take members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on a guided tour of the landmark projects executed by Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki in the last three years.
Imasuangbon who spoke in Benin yesterday slammed former Edo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Henry Idahagbon for saying that Governor Obaseki has constructed well over 350 kilometres of roads since the assumed office.
He said that the APC was caught in the party’s web of lies through the ward to ward campaign of the PDP.
Imasuagbon, popularly called rice man said the presidency seemed to have tactically faulted former national chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole over his allegation that the refinery was a white elephant project when it sent a delegation to inspect progress work at the Edo modular refinery.
He said: “You all remember Oshiomhole repeatedly said the modular refinery is not on the ground but when pictures and videos emerged, he was ashamed. They have lost the election. Everywhere they go, people are chasing Oshiomhole and Ize-Iyamu away.
“In Ekpoma, they lied but the students and staff themselves said they saw the wonderful work of Obaseki. There is no Ward Obaseki has not commissioned one project or the other.
The former PDP governorship aspirant insisted that Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has constructed over 350 kilometres of coupled with the near completion of the modular refinery at Ologbo and other verifiable projects in the last three years.
The top PDP member noted that the party will accept the challenge by some chieftains of the APC to take them on a tour of governor’s landmark projects
He added: “I accept Idahagbon challenge. We will meet in Benin and journalists will be with me when I will show him all the roads Obaseki has constructed. I know by then he will be silent forever.”
