THE Youth Enlightenment Empowerment Foundation of Nigeria (YEEFON) has commended youth for not allowing them been used and course violence during the last Saturday’s presidential and national assemblies elections.
This was contained in a press statement issued, signed and made available to Tribune Online in Dutse, the JIgawa state capital by the chairman board of trustees, Comrade Sani Ibrahim Taura who congratulated Nigeria and Nigerians over the success recorded during the recent Presidential and National Assemblies elections.
The statement “we are proud with the teaming youth for their good behavior and not been allowing them selves to be use and course violence during the polls in most parts of the country, this is highly commendable”.
According to the statement “Youth Enlightenment Empowerment Foundation of Nigeria (YEEFON) a socio-political Non-Government Organization (NGO) wishes to congratulate Nigeria, civil society organizations and teeming youth over the success recorded during the recent Presidential and National Assembly elections”.
Comrade Sani Ibrahim Taura added that “The organization reiterates its commitment at sensitizing the public especially youths and women to actively participate in politics and voting leaders with good conscience that can effectively charge the status quo in governance”.
The chairman board of trustees noted that the group would maintained remains focus in enlightening the people and youth and women to always maintaining and promoting and voting a credible candidates that has good youth and women oriented policies with potentiality of revolutionalizing governance.
“The organization resolve to identify with the commitments of leaders at all levels to ensure peace, unity and good accountability and youth development policies”.
He therefore commended governor Badaru Abubakar of JIgawa state for guaranteeing autonomy to LGAs as well as making leadership transparent at all levels in Jigawa state.
