Popular fuji musician, Saheed Osupa and Yoruba movie actors, such as, Yinka Quadri, Rasaq Olayiwola, (a.k.a) Ojopagogo, Rose Odika, Olaniyi Afonja, popularly known as Sanyeri, among others, were celebrities that besieged Ibadan, last Saturday, for the movie premiere entitled: Fayose Olowo Idan (Fayose the magic finger).
The new flick, produced by musician-turned actor, Olatomiwa Alajogun (a.k.a) Major Matt, was attended by industry big weights at the Anike Event hall of Mataan Hotel and Suites, Akobo, in the Oyo State capital.
Contrary to the rumor doing the rounds that the movie revolved around the Ekiti State governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, Alajogun revealed that the movie had nothing to do with the governor.
“I knew people would be thinking the movie was about Governor Fayose, but the reverse is the case. I have no relationship with the governor and the new work has no link with him. I guess the unconscious decision to use Fayose Olowo Idan as the title of the movie is working.
“My mum, who was part of the production came about the name Fayoo and I think it naturally fits the movie as a title, because it is centered on how the main actor, who is from a Ifa (priest) family was protected with inborn powers from his enemy. I don’t want to real all what people would come across in the movie here; it is educating and entertaining,” he added.
