Ekiti State Office of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has presented equipment worth millions of naira and also handed over key projects executed by the programme in six local government areas of the state under the 2015 SDGs programme.
The presentation, the fourth in the series, consisted of 504 projects out of the ongoing 2,888 projects and were located in Ado, Irepodun/Ifelodun, Ikere, Ise/Orun, Ilejemeje and Ikole local government areas.
The projects included school buildings, toilets, health centres, medical equipment and furniture.
The Chairman of Ekiti State SDGs, Chief Dipo Anisulowo, said the programme provided amenities and services in the areas of education, health care, agriculture and infrastructural development.
Anisulowo, who is the Chief of Staff to Governor Ayodele Fayose, urged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the projects and facilities.
He added that it was incumbent on the beneficiaries to maintain the projects and facilities, saying they must see them as thier own.
Anisulowo lauded Governor Fayose for his efforts at taking the state to higher heights in spite of the current economic challenges facing the state.
The Executive Secretary of SDGs, Mr Olukayode Adunmo, said the agency had set up machinery for effective monitoring of the projects.
