Citizen’s Model

A citizen is a full member of a state with inalienable rights and obligations. He is not a subject, but one entitled to that reassuring and expectant feeling of belonging. He must never be placed in a “lower situation” or made to “lie below.”

The citizen must be valued and therefore deserves, as an inalienable right, a worthwhile existence – access to the essentials of life and the fundamentals necessary for human dignity, with his life constantly and progressively being made better.

The Head of the Catholic Church, Pope Leo XIV, recently captured the essence of humanity in a grandiloquent language. The citizen ought to be “the Distinctive Grandeur of Humanity.” Humanness is the genuine concern for the pains and sufferings of the citizen. Human life must be constantly elevated and never left under the scourge of poverty.

Leadership shapes citizenship and, by extension, a healthy society. Leaders of business organisations and political institutions must always vigorously take practical and deliberate actions to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of men and women. Citizenship must reflect better, long-term, and sustainable wellbeing. Implementing the “Citizen’s Model” must never become entangled in dysfunctional and complicated systems.

What is work, and who is served by the work we do? Work must have a human-driven purpose. It must be intentionally focused on meeting human needs and wants. Leaders, the architects of progress and growth, must always take reliable, available, and sustainable decisive actions to constantly improve lives.

The purpose of work is to uplift humanity through service. Smart business leaders impact livelihoods through meaningful work. They make life better and deliberately invest in collaboration and collective success.

To consistently win in business, earn sustainable income, and harness the advantages of entrepreneurship, you must keep the CITIZEN (your internal and external environment) as front-of-mind.

Smart strategies encapsulate people perception, people positioning, people psychology, and systems that deliver highly beneficial services.

Please note these winning criteria: attention to people drives business growth, while psychology influences customer behaviour and buying decisions. Exponential growth can be achieved through a people-comfort-and-convenience retail model of distribution and marketing. Positioning with people is always more powerful and effective than a competition-oriented strategy.

When you go all out for people, you unlock unbelievable opportunities, grow faster, and profit more. Leaders must utilise the power of leverage through relentless entrepreneurship to satisfy people’s needs. If you diligently work on people’s emotional experiences, you will effectively build buying loyalty, because sales and people psychology are inseparable. Deliver beneficial people-oriented outcomes, and you automatically achieve sustainable and scalable income.

With a people-purpose approach, smart organisations that totally lean on people consistently outperform competitors. Such organisations constantly shape their businesses and remain flexible in their operations. Logic and data are important, but they must partner with people. To multiply value, listen attentively and support people with speed and efficiency.

The content of your culture box must be people focused. Organisational culture must enable integrated resources to showcase more value for humanity. Emphasis on people experience, impact, influence, and inspiration enable organisations to remain operationally inventive and value-adding.

People and technology together deliver impact and beneficial value. This combination improves businesses, lives, and society. Money also follows people skills. A focus on people determines the right markets to enter and ultimately dominate.

The ideal positioning strategy is to stand out with the people. The organisation thereby creates values that genuinely work for the people. A citizens-oriented marketing strategy does not seek cheap attention. Products and services are associated with beneficial outcomes, sustainable winning, and enviable performance.

People’s needs are inseparable from the smart organisation’s messaging. The organisation communicates what people truly care about. In other words, exceptional marketing helps the brand become the preferred choice. Its solutions are always tailored toward identified wants and needs.

People-oriented organisations actively interact with their communities. The CITIZEN’S MODEL is an alignment-driven business model. Problems are easily identified and effectively solved. Innovation becomes a tool that simplifies decision-making. It is the link between problems and solutions.

When people become the content pillars, the shiny object syndrome no longer becomes a distraction. Ideas and perspectives are given practical expression, and recently growing obsession with commissioning or launching grandiose projects and products loses relevance.

Example:

Government-approved car hire operators at airports across the 36 states of Nigeria and the FCT were given deadlines by regulators to replace their old vehicles. Commercial banks considered this a major risk and looked away. Mutual Benefits Group, however, saw it as an opportunity to inspire confidence and address that erroneously perceived insurance burden.

Mutual Benefits worked through their trade clusters and additionally secured the risks with the Group Life Assurance Policy. This initiative generated a “wow” effect, and the transaction became an exemplary success story.

The CITIZEN’S MODEL creates advantages in everything: Positioning, Perception, and Strategic Thinking. The “trending” organisation becomes both the brand and the experience story. Reputation becomes the strategy, while verifiable values and measurable benefits become the adhesive that sustains products and services.

Visibility, product leadership, mindset shifts, and loyalty momentum are thereby created.

Remember: the strongest and most successful brands are built around specific human problems and follow-up practical solutions. The brand becomes the clear and trusted proof of a society that cares and consistently shows up for the people with value-adding empathy, competence, and impact.
