Construction Kaiser Limited (CKL), a trailblazer in the construction industry, proudly announces the commemoration of its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of excellence. In conjunction with this milestone, CKL is excited to unveil a strategic collaboration with women in construction and other leading health practitioners at Lakeshore Cancer Center, St. Nicholas Hospital, and Reliance HMO for its Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign 2023.
This initiative is a testament to CKL’s enduring commitment to corporate social responsibility, with a specific emphasis on raising awareness about breast cancer within the construction community. The campaign aims to reach women in the construction industry and the spouses of dedicated male employees and partners.
The Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign 2023 comprises two integral components: an Awareness Walk and an Online Workshop scheduled for October 12th and 13th, 2023, respectively.
The Awareness Walk will kick off on Thursday, October 12th, at 9:00 a.m. from Remembrance Arcade, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, opposite King’s College. The route will traverse Island Maternity, CMS Bus Stop, and St. Nicholas, passing through the campus stadium. Notably, free breast cancer screenings will be available for participating women from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on October 12th.
Furthermore, CKL is hosting a FREE Online Workshop on Friday, October 13th, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The workshop is open to all and aims to provide valuable insights into breast cancer awareness.
As CKL reflects on 30 years of shaping the construction landscape, it recognizes the need to give back to the community.
CKL’s 30th anniversary is not just a celebration of the past; it’s a commitment to the future. The Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and Workshop are initiatives designed to make a meaningful difference in the lives of women, empowering them to take charge of their health.
Breast cancer is a cause worth supporting, affecting millions of women globally. Early detection and awareness can save lives, and CKL is taking tangible steps to change this narrative. The Breast Cancer Awareness Walk serves as a symbolic move toward spreading awareness, offering support, and ensuring every woman knows how to protect her health.
