The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Bauchi State for the 2027 general election, former Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar (SAN), has announced the dissolution of the 20 local government coordinators of his campaign with immediate effect.
The announcement was contained in a notice issued by the Office of the M.A. Strategy Committee and signed by Hon. Umar Ibrahim Sade, Head of Media, M.A. Strategy Committee, and former Commissioner for Information during Abubakar’s first tenure as governor.
The notice read: “With gratitude to Almighty Allah and appreciation to all of you, the M.A. Abubakar Strategy Committee hereby formally announces the dissolution of all 20 local government coordinators with immediate effect.”
It added: “We sincerely thank every coordinator, mobiliser and volunteer who worked tirelessly across the 20 LGAs and 323 wards of Bauchi State. Your sacrifice, loyalty and commitment to the vision of M.A. Abubakar, SAN, will never be forgotten.”
On the directive to the coordinators, the notice stated: “All coordinators should immediately cease all activities. All assets, records and unused materials in your possession should be documented and returned to the secretariat on or before July 16, 2026.”
The Strategy Committee also assured supporters that it would communicate the next steps regarding future engagements in due course.
It, however, urged supporters and APC members to remain united, stating: “Please remain united and continue to support the ideals of M.A. Abubakar, SAN.
“We pray Allah rewards everyone abundantly and grants us peace, unity and progress in Bauchi State.”
