The Birnin Kebbi Police Command has said sixty-six (66) people have been killed in 8 villages in Kebbi State.
This was disclosed by the police spokesman, DSP Nafiu Abubakar while confirming the killings of the people in the villages.
He said the killings took place in eight villages of Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area.
The names of the villages where the attacks took place were Koro, Kimpi, Gaya, Dimi, Zutu, Rafin, Gora and Iguenge villages – all in Danko/Wasagu LG area of the state.
The police image maker revealed that the state command is still counting the number of dead bodies, saying, already a detachment of Police officers and men had been deployed to the area to restore order.
As of the time of filing the report majority of the people in the affected villages have left their villages to neighbouring towns for safety.
