Former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Turakin Adamawa, Atiku Abubakar has commended the federal government for removing fuel subsidy to allow market forces determine the price of pump price so that the economy would flourish.
The former Vice President who said the move was in the right direction pointed out that it should have been done earlier.
Atiku who said this on his official Twitter handle last night urged the federal government to further remove all other hitches and evolve investment with the sector.

According to Turakin Adamawa, the state government should follow suit and expand the opportunity in the sector.
He said: “The stoppage of subsidy and price-fixing is a right move, although it should have come earlier when the economy was stronger
“FG and state governments should proceed to remove other impediments and roll out incentives to spur investments in the sector, especially the numerous refineries that had been licensed but are yet to be built. Then ensure the quality of fuel meets set standards.”
