After taking a break from her acting career for her academic pursuit and acquired furtherĀ skills in the United Kingdom, Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO), Azizat Sadiq, has returned with a new movie production entitled: Chiās Journey.
According to her, Chiās Journey is the story of a young girl who went to a foreign land in search of a greener pastures, only to be exposed to modern day slavery, sexual molestation and abuse.
The actress also noted that the short film, which she believed would mark the beginning of her creative investment into Nollywood, entailed a story of false hope, betrayal and resilience of the human spirit to strive and succeed against all odds.
It is obvious that Sadiq, who made her way into the industry through hurdles which, according to her became her source of inspiration and courage, is now enjoying her steady rise after winning the AMBO talent hunt reality show in 2005.
Her determination to carve a niche for herself in the industry, as well as earn her a contract to feature in the award-winning film, Sitanda, and a coaching session with a famous actress, Joke Silva. She also featured in Mnetās sitcom Edge of Paradise and the BBCās Wetin Dey, a series targeted at creating awareness for the deadly sexually transmitted disease HIV/ AIDs.
Chiās Journey was produced by her production outfit, Zee Media International, a film production outfit she established in 2005.
