A prominent Nigerian cleric, Prophet Sam Olu Alo, has described Aare Afe Babalola, the founder of Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), as one of the greatest Africans to have ever lived.
The firebrand cleric made this declaration while extolling the virtues of Aare Babalola and commenting on the recent approval by the Ewi Of Ado-Ekiti Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe and his wife, Eyesorun Bosede Adejugbe, to designate October 18 as the annual celebration day of Afe Babalola.
In a press statement signed by Mr. Deji Ogunbusuyi and made available to journalists in Jesus City Camp, Lekki/Epe Express Way Lagos, Prophet Alo praised the Ewi of Ado and his wife for giving Aare Babalola a fitting honour by fixing every October 18 as a day to celebrate the living legend.
Prophet Alo commended Aare Babalola for his significant impact on the lives of millions of Nigerians and Africans from all walks of life.
He emphasized Aare Babalola’s influence, kindness, and the positive impact of his entrepreneurship and legal practice on people from all backgrounds, including the rich, the middle class, and the less privileged members of society.
Additionally, he highlighted the contributions of Afe Babalola’s University to providing first-class education to young Africans and offering employment opportunities to people from diverse backgrounds.
His words, “While others site their industries outside their home states, Aare Afe Babalola brought his huge investment into his hometown and with it gave meaningful life to thousands of Ekiti people, Nigerians and Africans at large.
