I don’t think one would be wrong to name AdeAde2021 the biggest Nigerian celebrity wedding of 2021. The past few weeks must have been the busiest days in the lives of both Lateef Adedimeji and his wife Adebimbe as they have been seen moving from one location to the other and from one photoshoot to the other all in preparation for their elaborate wedding.
The event started officially last Saturday, December 18th, when Lateef stormed Ado-Ekiti with his celebrity friends to pick his wife in a well talk-about traditional wedding. Adebimpe, a princess of the Ijero-Ekiti royal family was also looking radiant as she came out in style, like the princess that she is.
The wedding, however, climaxed on Wednesday, December 22nd at the Grandeur Event Centre Ikeja, Lagos with a cluster of movie stars flooding the venue. Hashtagged #AdeAdeForever, Nollywood stars, comedians, skit makers, OAPs, mention it, all stormed the event in their elegance, as legendary Fuji icon, Adewale Ayuba entertained guests with his melodious and energetic sound.
Some of the faces spotted at the event on Wednesday were; Dele Odule, Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje), Mama Rainbow, Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola, Kunle Afod, Ibrahim Chatta, Adebayo Tijani, Toyin Abraham and her hubby Kola Ajeyemi, Mercy Aigbe, Nkechi Blessing, Mr Macaroni, Afeez Eniola, Jide Awobona, Adeniyi Johnson, Regina Chukwu, Bukola Adeeyo, Adunni Ade, Bukunmi Oluwasina and many more.
A lot is to be said about the wedding but let us leave that discussion for another day. A ‘celebrity wedding’ is relative, however, with all of the above-mentioned movie stars storming a wedding at the same time, with all the paparazzi and noise about the AdeAde21 – a wedding between two reigning movie stars, wouldn’t one be right if one tags it the biggest Nigerian celebrity wedding of the year?
