ACCI to rake N1bn revenue from 2023 Abuja International Trade Fair

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has revealed that over N1 billion inflow of revenue is expected at the forthcoming Abuja International Trade Fair.

ACCI stated that participants at the AITF may come from about 50 countries across the globe to make inquiries about the programme.

Speaking on Wednesday in Abuja, the Director General of ACCI, Ms. Victoria Akai said ACCI is expecting participation from 15 African countries.

She also stated that the chamber is expecting over 100,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors for the 12-day period of the trade fair.

According to her, the trade fair will commence on the 29th of September and end on the 9th of October, 2023 at the Trade and Convention Centre and the opened field of ACCI Abuja

Akai said the trade Fair is dedicated to connecting businesses with lucrative trade and investment prospects within the country.

Also speaking on the forthcoming Abuja International Trade Fair, the President of ACCI, Dr. Al-Mujtaba Abubakar explained that AITF is a trading platform that serves as a catalyst for establishing fruitful investment and trade relations with new business partners.

“The 18th edition of the Fair with the theme of “Sustainable Financing and Taxation as Drivers for the New Economy,” would serve as a platform for businesses to engage with financial and tax institutions, discuss current trends and solutions, and foster sustainable approaches to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

“The event will showcase innovative products and solutions from our partners and exhibitors in various sectors such as Fintech, tax collection, payment systems, e-health, food processing, and environmental safety”.

Abubakar explained that sideline events at the trade Fair include; business networking, B2B, B2G, B2C, special days, raffle draws, virtual and physical games, 12 days of jollof rice, a free fashion runway show, and many more throughout the event.

“Abuja International Trade Fair is part of our initiative to connect businesses and create a platform for policymakers to interact with the business community. We champion the promotion of small businesses, acknowledging their vital role in the national economy, job creation, and overall prosperity” he stated.
