Do you know why your shoes get bad in no time? It is not about quality only but how you maintain them. This is the only way your shoes can last longer and look nice. Your footwear is an introduction to who you are; it says a lot about you. So, be particular about it.

  • 1. Store in a dry place
  • 2. Air-dry your shoes
  • 3. Regular polishing
  • 4. Avoid dust
  • 5. Use detergent or baking soda

Tips to help you maintain your shoes are shared below:

1. Store in a dry place

The place you keep your shoes can determine their longevity. Moisture and temperature can affect the material of your footwear. These can weaken the glue and leather and subsequently develop awful odours and mildew. Therefore, wherever you keep your shoes should be a cool and dry place.

2. Air-dry your shoes

After every usage, it is good to air dry your shoes to eliminate bad odour, protect your feet, and make them more revamped. Take note: Don’t leave your shoes directly under the sun; it can damage them, but you can go ahead and air dry them for at most throughout the day.

3. Regular polishing

There are some shoes that require  polishing from time to time because it makes them look better and keeps dirt away. Whether or not your shoe is of high quality, polishing will make it more durable.

4. Avoid dust

Your shoes should be kept away from dust, or you clean them at all times because if you don’t, the original colour will wane, and it won’t look good when you rock it. In other words, the perfect way to maintain your shoes is to ensure dust is not settling on them so they won’t look old.

5. Use detergent or baking soda

When you own shoes like sneakers, you must keep them clean by washing them with detergent or baking soda. Using brush together with the aforementioned ingredients would make your sneakers more shiny and germs-free. You can avoid stains by adopting this process.
