THE Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says that 28 ships bringing petroleum products, food and other goods are expected at the Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports from June 24 to July 17.
NPA made the announcement in its daily publication ‘Shipping Position’ sent to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Monday.
Four of the ships will sail in with petrol, while 27 others are carrying bulk malt, general cargo, bulk sugar and bulk fertiliser.

Other items in the ships are bulk salt, frozen fish, buckwheat, bitumen and containers carrying different goods.
According to the publication, eight ships have arrived the ports waiting to berth with containers and petrol.
It said that no fewer than 17 ships are currently discharging buckwheat, base oil, general cargo, steel products, containers, diesel, petrol, aviation fuel, bulk sugar and empty containers.
