The National Working Committee of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) has formally approved the sale of Nomination forms to aspirants wishing to contest the 2023 general elections.
According to a release signed by the National Secretary of the ZLP Comrade Yahaya Makama, youths, women and people living with Disabilities are to obtain their nomination forms for free.
The cost of the forms is as follows:
For the State Assembly
Expression of Interest is N100,000 while Nomination Form goes for N250 000.
House of Representatives aspirant is expected to pay N200,000 for Expression of Interest while Nomination
Form is N500,000.
Senate aspirant will pay N500,000 for Expression of Interest and the Nomination Form is N1,500,000.
Governorship aspirants will part with N2,000,000 for Expression of Interest while Nomination Form will cost N10,000,000.
Finally, the Presidential aspirant will pay a sum of N5,000,000 for Expression of Interest and N18,000,000 for
Nomination Form.
Comrade Makama explained that the reduction of the nomination fees is to allow credible Nigerians who are popular but hindered by high Nomination fees charged by Political Parties to participate in a political contest.
He stressed that the low fees charged by the Zenith Labour Party will also give aspirants the opportunity to use a platform that is pocket friendly in their quest to serve the nation.
Comrade Makama also described the Zenith Labour Party as a gender-sensitive political party which beliefs in the inclusiveness of women and youths in the governance of the country. Women and youths now have a very good opportunity to actualize their political dreams.
“We should all move away from the social media Politics to practical grassroots politics to enable us to bring the positive change that we all desire in our country.”
According to the party, forms can be obtained from the Zenith Labour Party Headquarters at suite 206, 2nd floor Dabo Plaza, 73 Ladoke Akintola Boulevard Garki 2, Near tantalizers, opposite FCMB.
