Thousands of members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) gathered nationwide in various branches for a prayer walk to raise awareness ahead of the church’s annual convention, which will commence on August 5, 2024.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) prayer walk, which was held today, 4th August 2024, coincides with the fourth day of the #EndBadGovernance protest, during which participants seek divine intervention for the nation.
During the prayer walk, the congregation prayed for healing in Nigeria, calling on God to address the country’s pressing issues.
The #EndBadGovernance protests, which focus on economic hardship and are planned to last ten days, continued into their fourth day on Sunday. Resilient youths persistently urged President Tinubu to meet their demands.
Protesters are calling for the restoration of petrol subsidies and a revised forex regime. They also demand action on food shortages, unemployment, and wasteful government spending.
With prices of food and basic commodities skyrocketing in recent months, Nigeria is facing one of its worst inflation rates.
