TWO people were reportedly killed in Ondo town, headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area of the state on Monday night and Tuesday morning, during a supremacy clash between two rival cult groups.
It was gathered that the two cult groups, the Ayee Confraternity and Eiye Confraternity, while one of the members of the Eye confraternity was hacked down during a supremacy battle on Monday night.
Members of the group were said to engage each other in a bloody fight all through the night where a member of Eye, identified as Olaleye Isiaka, was killed.
It was gathered that the cultists resumed the fight in the early hour of Tuesday morning, killing another member of the opposing group.
The source explained that the second victim whose identity had not been confirmed was shot dead in the early hour of Tuesday during another clash between the two groups.

He said: “Isiaka is a member of Eye confraternity, in the company of some of his friends at a joint located at Akure motor park in the town, when members of the rival group attacked him.
“When the attackers reached the scene, they started shooting sporadically, the people around the area had to run helter-skelter for safety.
“Isiaka attempted to escape from the scene but he was shot severally by the hoodlums but when the bullet failed to penetrate his body, the attackers clubbed to death.”
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the state police command, Mr Femi Joseph, said the command had commenced an investigation into the matter.
He said: “We only have the identity of one of the deceased, Isiaka, he is a notorious cultist in the town.
“He was killed by a rival cult group. The second person was killed this (Tuesday) morning during a reprisal attack of the Isiaka’s group to the rival group but we are yet to know his identity.
“The investigation has commenced and efforts are ongoing to arrest the perpetrators of the dastardly act.”
